We do not restrict you to any platform. Simply integrate the client with your application. It doesn't matter if it runs on Windows, Mac or Linux; our cross platform client does that all for you in a native way. Combined with our Android API, you have all the possibilities to deploy your application - wherever you want.
Your software is running in the background, or you want to notify about updates system-wide? Simply show a system tray message, or check for updates silently and show your individual notification. We provide you flexibility in each operation.
Messages are a good resource to stay connected with your customers. We offer you 3 different ways to do that: an embedded webkit browser - supporting all web 2.0 features, showing messages in an external system browser and plain HTML messages.
There is a point where you want to align the UpdateNode client to your styled application. No problem, you can change any client style without having to touch the code at all. Simply define a CSS-like style sheet and modify the client's look and feel. Other than that, you can change the main icon, language, all strings displayed and more.
Searching for Chinese, German, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish or English localization? We have done that already for you. It's included in your UpdateNode client. You can add other languages, or modify existing languages without any development effort.
Still not sure? Have we missed something very important? Get in touch with us, or get into the code on GitHub and help us to make a better client. Or create your own client based on our code. As an Open Source customer you can use the client under GPL v3, as a commercial customer you are free to choose GPL, or the Apache v2 license.
Using our Android library, you can get all the advantages from the desktop into your Android App. You can provide updates the same way as you receive messages. The API gives you all the flexibility to integrate the logic wherever you want.
